Construction of a new water treatment facility with other improvements to replace the existing Mt. Ray slow sand filtration system. The new facilty located on the site of the existing treatment plant consists of a packaged water clarifier/filtration system, chemical feed systems, and underground clearwell and backwash surge tank. A new 12,000 square foot building will be constructed to house the new treatment equipment, along with administrative areas.
The project included all site work, yard piping, complete new treatment facility tanks and buildings, concrete work for tankage/buildings/miscellaneous structures, mechanical equipment and piping for all wastewater and sludge pumping and treatment, the entire screening/grit/flow measurement facilities, SBR systems with instrumentation, finishes, railings, and miscellaneous metals.
Construction of new Wastewater Treatment Plant as part of the "NYC Watershed Infastructure Program". Work includes Influent building structure, outfall piping, manholes, outfall structure, concrete channels, equalization blowers, influent pumps, equalization tank, aeration tank, RAW/WAS pumping system, secondary settling tanks, and all associated process piping, valves,fittings, and instrumentation. In addition, a complete building structure including structural concrete, masonry, windows, doors, wood trusses, standing seam roofing, and a variety of architectural finishes.

Associated structural and architectural work, site work, underground piping, site grading, landscaping, and access roads are also included.
The scope of work includes construction of a temporary disinfection system to inject chlorine into the treated wastewater, while a total demolition and reconstruction of the existing system is completed. The work includes: mechanical and concrete demolition, new foundations, structural modifications, FRP tank installation, pumps, piping, electrical, instrumentation, testing and startup.
The scope of work includes constructing a new chlorine contact tank and modifying the existing headworks building, including the replacement of the grit removal system, mechanical bar screen, screw and belt conveyors. Also, the crew replaced the clarifier equipment, performed chemical feed modifications at the headworks building and installed new odor control equipment in three 85-foot-diameter primary clarifiers, two 85-foot-diameter secondary clarifiers and a 115-foot-diameter secondary clarifier.
The scope of work included removal of the existing RBC equipment, which required coordination with plant operational personnel as to maintain plant treatment levels while biological trains where taken off line. The work included replacement of 18 RBC units for 21.5’w x 12’l tanks, making up 3 trains with 6 units in each, the RBC media replacement was with varying densities of media for enhanced treatment.
